Sue's Crew Reunion 2009 - Fasten Your Seatbelts!!!!!

Planning has begun!

This blog, hopefully, will be useful in a few ways:

1. We can share ideas.
2. We can make appropriate plans.
3. We can all know what part we play.
4. We can all be on the same page.
5. We can adjust as necessary.
6. And any other communication needs that come up.

So leave a comment after this post so I can know who is able to use this.

hey...it does work! So Cool!
I just chatted with Rhonda Beaver on facebook...she has decided that pale yellow will be the color for Darrell's crew.
Judy chose kelly green.
I have chosen pale blue for my crew.
I will talk to Stacey and Darrell tonight to confirm the pale yellow with Darrell and to find out what color stacey wants her crew to be decked out in.

I am holding on to the 4th of July for a date.
I am suggesting Lead Hill for a location.

I will contact as many people as I can to inform them of this site.
Love
Cheri

Judy Passmore sent this message to me and I wanted to share with you all:
CHECK OUT THIS PLACE--It's called Rocky Hollow Cabins (Google it)and it is located in Bull Shoals. It has a main lodge and six cabins. Those who want to just come for the day could do that and those who would like to work in a little vacation time could do that too. It has a playground for all the kids as well as a pool and it is right by the lake. It is really nice and the rates are reasonable. Let me know what you think or what you have found.

Okay, here is the address:

http://www.rockyhollowlodge.com/Rates.html

Personally, I really like this idea!

uhhh that anonymous would be CHERI

Hey, my brochure is on its way!

Judy said...

hey, I made it on!

when you log on to the site for the cabins-- click on the logo in the upper left hand corner and it will give you a photo album with pictures of the insides of the cabins as well as the outside. The pool is 9 ft deep. with a 3 ft low side. So lots of variations. All the cabins have air too--which will be nice on the 4th of July!

Judy said...

well cancel that-- they are all booked for the 4th, we may run into this because of the date

Judy said...

I have found another one--am waiting for a call from the owners as to availability.

I think I am the only one on here!!
I have found another site in Bull Shoals--BUT the kicker is that because of the date (holiday weekend) they have a 5 day minimum on each cabin. go to
bullmountain-resort.com and see what you think. We could get like 2 or 3 for ameneties or we could get several. What do you think?

Hello, After visiting with Andy and discussing the problems with the date of July 4...maybe we should consider changing the date.
Originally, the 4th of July was chosen because of Mary Beth's ceremony on the following weekend. But what if we went for the weekend after marybeth's ceremony? If my math is correct that would be the weekend of the 18th of July...Whatcha think about that?

dad gum it...
I am not anonymous!
I am Cheri

Granny Soup is here with me and she says that the 18th would be better than the 4th for her and I am inclined to agree for several reasons.

Judy said...

by the way "anonymous" what were you doing on here at 7:30 in the morning? ha

Cheri said...

Okay, it is April 15...let me see that is 3 months until our family reunion! YEAH!

My suggestion is that we stay with Rocky Hollow Lodge...and see if it is available for us on July 18th.

Judy, would you check that out?

And the reason that I was on here at 7:30 the other morning was because there were kids in the house...you know what I mean?

Love those kids!

I just called Stacey and she will be checking with Mary Beth and Garrett on the color for their t-shirts.

She suggested that Skipper be in charge of getting the shirts with "Sue's Crew" imprinted on them and maybe a logo/design...

Then each person could do with their shirt as they wished from there on...

Can you hear me Skipper?

Now I am going to call Darrell...since he said cowboys don't wear yellow...hmmmm....I did not know that...but I am learning.

Just talked to Darrell and the color he has chosen for his group is RED!

Love,
Cheri

I just checked the availability calendar and they are open the weekends of the 18th--25th -- and the 1st of Aug. so What Now?

Garrett said...

I believe Stacey's crew is wanting to be something like camo. We don't want any of these "light" colors. We want to stand out. haha. And for the record cowboys do wear yellow. Superstitions are for the birds.

Mary Beth said...

Stacey's crew will definitely be in camo....we considered zebra stipes, plaid, and black, but we've decided on camo. The 18th is a much better date. Just let us know what the design is or if we need to create our own and the Stacey's camo crew will be reved up....and hard to find....in our camo of course.

Judy said...

Well finally--Stacey's crew showed up --I was beginning to worry about you. Whatever color or blends of colors you choose is fine, Is the 18th ok with you guys? I talked to Suzanne Friday night and the 18th is about the only date she has left in July.

Cheri said...

Hello...hey it is good to hear from Mary Beth and Garrett. I like the camo idea...and we will find you...you cannot hide...lol

I say that we pass the word that July 18th is the date...DO I HEAR ANY YEAHS? ANY NAYS?

OKAY, THEN 7-18-09 IT IS!

This may sound like a lot of going round and round...but...I think we have come full circle on where this reunion is going to be held.

Of course we were trying to get as many amenities out of the location as possible...but...it is not always easy to find the "perfect" spot.

The pavillion (sp) on the Buffalo River...yes where Cheri and Glen were married...but more importantly where so many of our family reunions were held in the past, seems like the most likely location for this reunion. This place gives us shade, plenty of room, the river, picnic tables, BBQ grills, electricity, etc.

If anyone disapproves of this place or has a better place...let me know quickly...

I will be calling on Monday, April 20 to see if it is available for the 18th of July.

Love,
Cheri

The 18th is great. And camo, in the National forest, on the river....we could be anywhere! And just letting everyone know, my graduation is on May 15 at 1:00 p.m. You are most certainly not pressured to come, just letting everyone know. We will also have a little gathering at mine and Sheree's new place afterwards. So you could just come to the gathering if you want....that's what I would like to do!

Cheri said...

Okay...it is now the 22nd of April and I have just now made the reservation for Pavillion #1 at Buffalo Point...Hwy 268...off of Hwy 14S out of Yellville...

Let's start talking about the food!

Love,
Cheri

I (Judy) would like to see this as an organized (ha) pot luck kind of dinner on Saturday. With lots of goodies to eat and everyone enjoying themselves. AND if we already have it cooked--no one will have to slave over the grill! IDEAS????

Skipper...you are so good to us all. Thank you for everything you have done to make this FR a success. You are one in a million!

I sometimes think our roles got reversed somewhere along the way...are you sure you are not the mother and I the child...
I love you,
mom
